Pregamate

Week12

The uterus is now protruding above the pubic bone, and through weeks 12–16 one starts showing the baby bump.

Some moms will get that “glow,” but others experience more negative changes in their skin. The areolae (the skin around the nipples) darkens, and freckles and spots begin to appear around the body. Unfortunately, some women begin to get dark brown patches of skin on their faces during this week. Large doses of Vitamin A’ would normally be the cure for this. Heartburn is more frequent due to the increase of the same progesterone hormone that is continuously playing with the emotions.

Reflexes, hair, nails grow faster in this week. The intestines which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, move back into his abdominal cavity now. The baby is about the size of a lime, length is  2 ¼ inches and weighs about ½ ounce.

Some of the body changes are growing uterus and feeling worry often.
